Where to do the Security Guard Course

Visa Requirements to be a Security Guard

You must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or a permanent Australian resident to become a Security Guard in NSW. The visa you require must be unlimited to work in Australia, it cannot be a student or working holiday visa. Applying for the NSW Security Licence 1AC Unarmed Security Guard Licence

Frequently Asked Questions Security Training Course

This Pre-Course learning, LNN and language skills test will give you an opportunity to evaluate people’s ability to understand and interpret daily situations. The test involves exercises and quizzes prior to commencing face to face security training classes, the LLN test can take between 20 to 30 minutes.

The pre-learning can at times make the length of the security license course go for up to five weeks. However, you are in control of this and could, provided you reduce the length of time you take to do the pre-learning, which of course if self-paced, to as little as 3 weeks. This includes a week of pre-learning and 2 weeks face to face.

10 Days Face to Face learning is required to complete the Certificate 2 in Security Operations.
