Once you have completed the CPR course, you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for HLTAID009-Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
While there are no prerequisite courses you need to do, you must be physically able to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on a manikin and also competently respond to a medical emergency where a person has stopped breathing.
If you have a disability that may restrict (but not prevent) you from performing CPR, please discuss it with us before enrolling as we may be able to make a reasonable adjustment.
The HLTAID009 Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is a prerequisite for those who wish to commence training CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations to become a security guard.
The course is $70 for new students. There is a discounted price of $50 for past Multisec students, or students or enrolled in the CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations (Security Guard Course).
The Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR Course) can be completed in 1 day.
The student must complete the following tasks in line with state/territory regulations, first aid codes of practice, Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines and workplace procedures:
Once all modules are completed and fees paid, you will receive your Provide First Aid certificate.
In Australia, CPR certification needs to be renewed annually to remain valid.
